As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Sonnet Code, you’ll be responsible for building and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps modern applications secure, scalable, reliable, and running smoothly. You’ll work closely with development teams to automate deployments, manage cloud environments, improve system performance, and solve complex production challenges. Your role will be critical in creating the bridge between development and operations—helping engineering teams ship faster, with greater stability and confidence. We’re looking for someone with expert-level AWS knowledge who can take ownership of cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability across production environments.

What You’ll Do * Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. infrastructure. * Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable deployments. * Manage Kubernetes and Docker environments in production. * Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation. * Improve monitoring, logging, and observability across distributed systems. * Partner with developers to improve performance, security, and reliability. * Troubleshoot production incidents and drive continuous improvement. * Establish and improve DevOps best practices, automation, and operational processes.

What We’re Looking For Must-have

  • Strong AWS Experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, Lambda, and networking).
  • Expert-level Microsoft Azure including cloud infrastructure, networking, identity/access management, compute, storage, monitoring, and core Azure services.
  • 5+ years of DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience.
  • Strong Terraform or CloudFormation skills.
  • Advanced Linux administration and Bash scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Scripting or programming experience in Python, Go, or JavaScript.
  • Strong English communication skills (Professional).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

Nice to Have:

  • AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps certifications.
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or related certifications.
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
